User Roles & Permissions
DenTrackPro uses role-based access control. Each staff member is assigned a role that determines what they can see and do in the system.
Superadmin
Full access to all modules and settings across the entire system.
- Manage all users, roles, and permissions
- Configure clinic settings, procedures, and branches
- Access all patient records, billing, and reports
- Manage subscriptions and platform settings
- View audit logs and error logs
Dentist
Focused on clinical operations and patient care.
- View and update patient records and medical history
- Perform dental charting with FDI notation
- Create and manage treatment plans and quotations
- Issue prescriptions and medical certificates
- Manage appointments on their calendar
- Record treatments and procedures
Receptionist
Handles front-desk and administrative operations.
- Register new patients and update patient information
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments
- Create and manage invoices and payments
- Apply discounts and promos to invoices
- Manage installment plan payments
Patient
Limited self-service access through the Patient Portal.
- View their own appointment history and upcoming schedules
- View treatment plans and history
- Check billing and installment status
- Download receipts and invoices
- View and sign medical consents
Custom Permissions
Superadmins can fine-tune permissions for each role on a per-module basis. Go to Settings > Permissions to configure granular access control.
